Chase Dreams in 2026

As the clock strikes past twelve, bubbly juice still in my glass, I can’t help but smile—two thousand twenty-five just wrapped up like a gift only the LORD knew I needed!

Two hours on mornings on empty Saskatchewan highways, the sun creeping red-gold silently over endless fields. Those quiet drives became my secret joy.
My prayer chamber.
My time for gratitude and reflection.
Engine humming like a steady heartbeat. Radio off so thoughts could wander wide as the prairie sky. Upward into the prairie sky.
Distance sharpened my faith, stretched my heart. Driving to the reserve was the best experience I could have signed up for.
I’d wave to random CN workers, the proud veteran who saluted as he walked his dog, and yeah, share the shoulder with herds of cattle commuting on their own journey to who knows where, oblivious of their anxious owners.

Deer darted by. Moose strolled the green. Snakes wriggled carelessly and coyotes skulked in the ditches.
This time alone was pure magic, so to speak, turning commutes into heavenly connections where I claim the promises of God. Holy Spirit downloading wisdom, calming me to breathe deeper, think freer. It was the highlight of twenty twenty-five, hands down.
It turns out, those quiet mornings sipping coffee while chasing dreams with unshakeable confidence morphed into my absolute favorite ritual.
Four hours daily on the road was a beast of a commute. My mornings starting at 4:30 a.m., and I pulling into my garage near 7:00 p.m., often prompted me to crash in my rented spot instead of heading home.
Waking up in a new town was lonely at first, but oh, making friends with Sarah, Winnie, Fred, and Brenda, cargo trains, and coffee that tasted different everywhere, flipped my world right-side up.

Landing that job felt huge, the kilometres under my wheels hit half million in June, yet it’s the call to be a “missionary” that truly glowed: immersion in a new culture, the love we shared, talking about Jesus to co-workers and those we served .
Distance sharpened my voice, stretched my heart it appears.
No, appears is the wrong word—it’s certainty. I’m sure the Lord’s contract was the best I could have signed up for!
Give yesterday’s worries to Jesus, chase tomorrow’s dreams with unshakeable confidence, and watch your heart soar higher than ever.
Cheers and prayers for 2026.
